By enrolling his daughter in a white school, African American Oliver Brown found himself in the Supreme Court fighting for black children's education rights. Through the 1950’s, legal segregation became more evident as blacks were continuously denied the right to an equal education. The Brown v Board of Education of Topeka, Kansas, case would change this forever.
