Rights: Abused, Gained, Fought For
Oliver Brown felt his rights had been abused. He felt blacks and whites should have an equal education. The Brown v Board of Education gained the right of an equal education for blacks. This case would lead to the end of the Jim Crow era, and other federal acts.

Responsibilities: Duties and Opinions
The Supreme Court has countless responsibilities in cases they hear. Brown v Board of Education required them to put personal opinions aside and focus on equal education of blacks. Oliver Brown knew he had to take a stand and accepted the responsibility of bringing the case to the Supreme Court.
